Taking a plane takes you to the Savannah/Hilton Head Island International Airport. There are rental cars, shuttles and other forms of public transportation ready to take you to Savannah from the airport.
Coming by train, Amtrak operates a passenger terminal at Savannah for the Palmetto and Silver Service trains running between New York City and Miami, Florida with three southbound and three northbound trains stopping at the station daily.
Greyhound Bus Lines provide the bus services to and from Savannah.
Get around:
Chatham Area Transit is the local bus service provider of Savannah and has routes across the city. It also operates a free CAT Shuttle that winds its way around the Historic District and a free Savannah Belles Ferry that runs across the Savannah River between the Historic District and Hutchinson Island, where the Convention Center is.

Stay in Sultry Savannah

We’ve all heard about how things are different in the south. The pace is slower, the people are more hospitable, and the air is downright sultry. Maybe you’ve been there before, maybe you haven’t, but for a true taste of something different, Savannah makes for a pleasing place to get acquainted with all that the lower latitudes have to offer.
