Proposal Ideas: Orlando Resort Introduces Christmas Marriage Proposal Package Guaranteed to Cause Co
Kissimmee, Fla. November 8, 2007 -- Cold feet, indeed! Leave your marriage proposal to the staff at Orlando's Gaylord Palms Resort and they'll practically guarantee "cold feet," when you "pop the question" inside the resort's amazing holiday ICE! attraction, hand carved from two million pounds of ice.

The marriage proposal, which will be captured by a staff photographer, will take place inside the attraction's heart-warming "winter wonderland" scene, a romantic tribute to a winter morning in the forest. The ring presentation will be held inside the forest's picturesque 14-foot-tall gazebo, hand-carved from nearly 61,000 pounds of crystal-clear ice. Perched atop the gazebo, two doves, artfully carved from white ice, will help to mark the occasion.

After the memorable proposal, the newly engaged couple can "take the plunge" down one of the attraction's ice slides, also constructed from blocks of ice.

The ICE! Proposal Package, which retails for $200, includes priority entrance for two to ICE!, a souvenir photograph, and a 2007 ICE! Christmas ornament.

The ICE! Deluxe Proposal Package, retailing for $475, also includes souvenir martini glasses and a special ICE! carving placed inside the attraction with the message "Will you marry me?"

Package add-ons include carvings with a custom message, or private "exclusive" proposals.

Gaylord Palms Resort, the "headquarters hotel" for the Christmas season in Orlando, features Best of Florida Christmas celebration, featuring live entertainment, unique attractions and holiday activities for the Christmas season. The event's marquee attraction, ICE!, is in its fifth year in sunny Orlando.

The 9-degree award-winning attraction is hand carved by a team of 40 artisans from Harbin, China. Since its inception, ICE! has garnered national recognition from the Today show, HGTV, USA Today, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Southern Living, and Travel Leisure. In 2003, the attraction was featured in a fantasy wedding on TLC's "A Wedding Story."

Overnight Best of Florida Christmas packages start at $249 per night plus tax, based on a two-night stay. Packages include a Florida-view guest room, 2 tickets to ICE! and ICE! Skating, a souvenir photo, self parking, and a host of exclusive resort guest benefits.

For more information or reservations for the ICE! Proposal Package, call (407) 586-2000. To learn more about ICE! or Best of Florida Christmas, guests can visit www.GaylordPalms.com/ICE. To learn more about other holiday events in Central Florida, visit www.ChristmasInOrlando.com .

As part of Gaylord Palms' existing wedding program, the ICE! gazebo can be rented for vow renewals and wedding ceremonies.

ICE! is open daily during the holiday season and is accessible on the exhibit hall level at Gaylord Palms, located at 6000 W. Osceola Parkway in Kissimmee.
