LAS VEGAS, Nov. 8 -- Presenting the newest hotel
on the Las Vegas Strip in nearly three years, Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:
LVS) has announced that The Palazzo Las Vegas -- the lavish resort under
development adjacent to the famed Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino -- will
soft-open on December 20 followed by a series of spectacular grand opening
celebratory events from January 17 to 19, 2008.
According to President of The Palazzo Las Vegas Rob Goldstein, the
property will become a new resort-hotel-casino of unparalleled luxury,
sophistication, and contemporary chic on the Las Vegas Strip. The Palazzo
will feature modern European ambience and design reminiscent of Italian
affluent living with a unique combination of premium amenities that
include: spacious suites; restaurants by top celebrity chefs such as
Wolfgang Puck, Emeril Lagasse, Mario Batali and Charlie Trotter;
extraordinary entertainment with the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys
and 40/40 Club, a Las Vegas version of New York's dynamic sports bar and
lounge; The Shoppes at The Palazzo featuring luxury stores anchored by Las
Vegas' first-ever Barneys New York; and, the largest Canyon Ranch SpaClub
to date.
"In The Palazzo Las Vegas, our vision was to develop a property of
elevated luxury in Las Vegas," said Goldstein. "We're balancing
sophisticated design and decor and luxurious experiences with some of the
simple comforts of home to cater to the preferences of the most discerning
traveler."
Pre-launch events for The Palazzo are being held on both Coasts this
month. Last night, the experiences of The Palazzo were recreated at an
exclusive event in New York City. Next week Wolfgang Puck's CUT will be
host to a private luncheon for VIP guests in Los Angeles.
During the grand opening weekend in January, invited guests and
celebrities will be welcomed to The Palazzo for an exclusive event on the
evening of Thursday, January 17. The Shoppes at The Palazzo will open their
doors January 18. Celebrations will culminate with a concert featuring a
variety of internationally renowned performers on January 19. Tickets for
the concert will be available to the public for purchase with details to be
released late November.

first-of-its-kind 'touch control' technology are a few of the in-suite
