Fort Lauderdale

Need a break from the cold? Fort Lauderdale is will do the trick for your winter escape, with sunshine all day and nice 75-79 evenings. Fort Lauderdale is a place where you would rather rent a car since many of the locations get to have hefty cab rates. Fort Lauderdale is also only 30 minutes north of Miami so if you are looking for some celebrity watching you'll be on your way.

Fort Lauderdale Beach has a gorgeous beach front with a brick laid side walk stretching for miles down the busiest sections to the quietest locations for piece and relaxation. Looking over the beach from across the street is a sand castle built outdoor mall named Beach Place which is located on Sunrise Blvd. on A1A. The first and second floors are littered with shops and spotted restaurants including the popular Fat Tuesday with their frozen drinks to go to take to the beach. One of Fort Lauderdale's finest cigars shops is located on the second floor with a lounge that serves beer and wine. The third floor is located to three different clubs that cater to a variety of different styles including a piano bar. Down the street are more restaurants and bars including the World Famous Elbow Room.

A short drive away down from the beach is Las Olas Blvd which is the center of the arts and science district of Fort Lauderdale. Littered with restaurants that range all over the spectrum of different cuisines which has been centered around the classic Mangos which has been around South Florida for years. Las Olas is on the mark of the fashion world, with many shops including Tommy Bahama, and Victoria's Bridal Couture.

For more night life the Riverfront area off of Las Olas is the place to be. Down Brickell Avenue is the center of Fort Lauderdale's night life with Coyote Ugly, Dice Riley's leading the way with a wide variety of different entertainments. For the club scene there is Voodoo Lounge and China White that adjourn each other with different types of music being played. Dice Riley's has live entertainment nightly and is the place where local's make sure to stop in at least once during the evening. Another benefit is the ability to walk the streets with your drink so you are able to walk from place to place to find the atmosphere you are looking for that evening.
