Maryland Golf Destination Queenstown Harbor Ready for 2008 Season
Queenstown Harbor, the
waterfront Eastern Shore golf course traversing some of the most beautiful
natural surroundings any Maryland golf destination could offer, announces
its 2008 in-season rates for its Lakes and River courses based on time of
play:

-- Lakes course (April 11 through October) - open to 11 a.m., $85; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., $75, 2 p.m. to close, $65. -- River course (April 11 through October) - open to 11 a.m., $119; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., $89, 2 p.m. to close, $79. Last season, Queenstown Harbor introduced a forecaddie service, and will continue it this season as an optional service for $20 per round. Requests for forecaddies to accompany foursomes - ideal for golfers new to Queenstown Harbor and those playing in corporate outings and group events - must be made when tee times are reserved by calling 800-827-5257. A forecaddie walks along with a foursome to spot balls, provide yardage and offer expert advice on the terrain and course management. Golfers returning this season will find a new driving range field with target greens, making Queenstown Harbor's practice complex the largest in the region. The half-acre short game area features putting greens and sections for practicing chipping and bunker shots. All free (including range balls) as part of the round. All River course greens have been resurfaced with an A1-A4 blend of bent grass for a truer putting surface, a new apron cut has been installed along the fairways and all bunkers have been rebuilt. Hole #13 features a rebuilt bunker and green. In addition, all bridges traversing protected marshland and wetlands on the River course were resurfaced with new wood planks, and crews completed extensive landscaping with native plants throughout the courses and around the clubhouse, while the pavilion was renovated and new pavers added. Pre-season rates - through April 10 - are lower. Visit http://www.qhgolf.com for details.
